What Does It Cost?

The cost depends on several considerations. Obviously the size
of the item is important. Other considerations include color,
clear coating, metal type and pre-treatment such as pre-heating.

The condition of the when received is very important. Generally
the preparation of the part for powder coating will make one of
the largest impacts on cost. Parts that are rusted will need to
be media blasted. Parts that already have a coating applied
whether paint or powder will need to be stripped clean. This
preparation is work intensive and extra costs are incurred.

By cleaning and stripping the parts before delivery to the
powder coater you can lower your total cost significantly.

Attention regarding aluminum wheels:

Due to the extensive effort to clean and strip aluminum wheels
LASS Customizing will not offer stripping and cleaning services
for these items. With our present method it simply takes hours
of work driving the cost to unreasonable limits. In the future we
hope to have a chemical stripping tank which will eliminate this
problem.

Until such time we will only accept aluminum wheels that are
already stripped of their previous coatings.

Steel wheels which are painted will be accepted for full
service. We hope to be able to return to stripping and cleaning
aluminum wheels soon.
